Scarred lungs leaves Parisian Soprano uncertain of future

Despite having her lungs scarred by COVID-19, Parisian soprano Veronica Antonelli makes the effort of singing every night from her balcony. Many survivors face lingering health issues such as respiratory problems, fatigue and anxiety.

The talented singer first contracted COVID-19 in March. The damage to her lungs could take a very long time to heal.

Dr Jay Varkey anticipates a multitude of health problems as a direct result of this pandemic, ranging from respiratory issues to mental health issues.

Veronica Antonelli is hopeful that she will regain the function of her lungs, and continues to sing from her balcony in Paris.
